With all the HD we are so accustomed to seeing on a daily basis, I wanted to try reverting to the old was that I grew up in and film this video particularly in Standard Definition. It makes the footage look grainier and older and can add to the “rawness” that skateboarding was once captured in.

7TH ANNUAL DJV CONTEST | 2019

I’ve been filming this contest every year for the past 6 years in memorial for Douglas James Vickery, a local skateboarder from Whitby, Ontario. He passed away and ever since, Pro Skateboarder and long time friend, TJ Rogers has put on this event in his name for the community. It’s always a great time getting everybody together and I’m proud to be a part of it every year.
